Who I work with, what is an RCC, what to expect during a counselling session, rates and more!

Even if you have been to counselling before, it's nice to get a sense of what the experience might be like before beginning.
I aim to create a welcoming, safe and judgement free space, whether we are in person, or virtual, where you can show up, be yourself and feel comfortable in sharing your experiences.
As no two people are the same, neither is my approach to working with each client. You are the expert on your life and I love to collaborate with my clients and often pull from a variety of counselling theories to best support each individual client.

Although I pull pieces from a variety of counselling theories, I am most comfortable with a trauma-informed approach that takes a holistic view of mental health. The brain and body are intricately connected and I believe incorporating somatic approaches can be incredibly beneficial. In our work together you will learn a lot about your central nervous system and how our feelings show up in a variety of ways.
I also pull from Internal Family Systems and explore the many parts of you that make up who you are.

If you are ready to get started, I can't wait to get to know you!
After you send an initial inquiry, I will reach out to set up a free 15 minute phone or video consult. The consult gives us a chance to have chat quick, briefly describe what's bringing you to counselling, for me to tell you more about what counselling sessions with me will look like and to ask me any questions you may have. If you'd prefer we can also go right into scheduling the first session.

Our first session begins with me covering the informed consent. I also ask a few holistic questions to learn more about you. From there, you can decide to move forward and schedule your next session.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and my license number is 20548. As an RCC, I am eligible to be claimed on most extended medical plans.
